Soldier/Army Civilian/DA Intern - How do I upload a document in eFile?

Answer

To upload or edit a document into eFile, complete the following steps:

 

STEP 1: From your GoArmyEd homepage, Soldiers will select the “My Education Record” Smart Link. Army Civilians will select the “eFile” Smart link, and proceed to STEP 3.

STEP 2: When your Student Record appears, select the eFile tab.

 

The eFile page will appear.

 

To update an existing eFile continue to STEP 7.

 

STEP 3: To upload a new document to eFile scroll to the bottom of the page. Enter the “Title,” “Description,” “Transaction Type” fields.

 

 

STEP 4: You must also Select a file to upload. Select the “Browse” button.

 

A pop-up message will display, asking to ensure all Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is all removed from the document. Select “OK.”

 

 

Select the file you want to upload. Select “Open.”

 

The name of the document you have entered will display.

 

STEP 5: Select the “Upload File” button.

 

 

STEP 6: The file will now be under the Existing eFiles section.

 

STEP 7: To update, delete, or review an existing eFile select the radio button beside the document you wish to review or update.

 

 STEP 8: Select one of the highlighted buttons, based on your needs:

  • The “Download File” button allows you to view and place the file on your computer in the directory of your choice.
  • The “Upload New Version” button takes a copy of a file on your computer and sends it to your GoArmyEd account. You are only allowed to update files that you uploaded.
  • The “View History” button displays the date and time that each file was created or updated and the name of the person who made each change.
  • The “Delete” button erases the selected document. You can select one document at a time and only delete a file you have uploaded.
