Question
Soldier - If repayment/recoupment is cancelled, do I get my money back and how long will it take?

Answer

When a recoupment is cancelled, a Soldier will be refunded the recouped amount. Headquarter (HQ) Army Continuing Education Services (ACES) must validate a refund report before submitting to Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) to stop the recoupment and process the refund. A refund may take eight to 10 weeks.
